Binge-watching TV is always my go-to while on the treadmill or the elliptical. Unfortunately I do not have time to watch my own shows at home- thanks kids- but before bed I have been REALLY trying to get back to reading. This book, Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty, has been keeping my attention for the last few weeks. I heard about it through the Goodreads site and thought that it would be something I would love- especially because Stephen King expressed that the book was “Funny and Scary.” Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman will supposedly star in an HBO series based on the book which I will definitely binge-watch. The story revolves around a group of parents, their kindergartners, and MAJOR (hilarious) drama at Pirriwee Elementary School, set in Australia.
Having a son in Kindergarten, I can relate to some of the banter between the moms and the silly happenings and dramatization of such trivial events. Big Little Lies takes it to a whole new level. This post is not meant to be a book review, but a PSA to let all of my readers know that this book is seriously addicting, amusing, and disturbing.
