You guys. How freaking sad/lame/pathetic is it that I have not posted since August 15th? Ugh. I am going to get my act together & try to post at least 2x a week in 2019. We will see how it goes. Since my last post, I am happy to announce that I have a major new love in my life…Spin Class. Fortunately, my husband and kids are supportive of my new relationship which makes it even BETTER! In the past, I have tried random spin classes at the YMCA and through a township program. The Spin I am referring to does not compare…it’s Rhythmic. Meaning lots of choreography, push-ups & sit-ups on the bike. It’s basically like a dance party with the added bonus of cardio. Luckily, I am able to take these classes because stRIDE Spin and Fitness opened about 5 minutes from my house. I thank God every day for this place, as it has played a major role in relieving stress from work life/mom life/LIFE!
I try to go at least 5 times a week, which is doable because they offer childcare. GAME CHANGER. 2 kids, $5. Can’t beat it. And the kids love it. It’s such a positive environment for them to be a part of. stRIDE also offers other classes like boxing, TRX, barre, and Pilates. My 2019 goal is to expand and diversify my routine, but more to come on that. Although I have been spinning for a few months, I still sit my ass in the back row or the sidebar. I am hoping to move up to that front row sooner rather than later. Since I still only wear my sneakers, I am going to buy a pair of cycling shoes when I get my commission check in February. Then I will be legit!
